Chief Justice Oronoz-Rodríguez began her professional career as a law clerk to former chief justice Federico Hernández-Denton, serving at the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico from 2002 to 2004. After earning an LL.M. at Columbia Law in New York, she served as deputy solicitor general and acting solicitor general of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico from 2005 to 2008. She engaged in the private practice of law from 2009 to 2013, especially in the fields of commercial and civil litigation in both state and federal courts. Before her appointment to the Supreme Court, she served as chief legal counsel of the city of San Juan, from 2013 to 2014.

Hon. Raúl M. Arias Marxuach

After graduating from law school, Arias-Marxuach served as a law clerk to Associate Justice Antonio Negrón García of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. After obtaining his Master of Laws, he became an associate at Fiddler Gonzalez & Rodriguez, where he worked until 1995. In 1995, he joined McConnell Valdés, where he maintained a diverse commercial litigation practice that focused on contracts, products liability, personal injury, antitrust and maritime disputes and accumulated substantial jury trial and appellate experience in complex matters. He was a partner and Vice-Chair of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm prior to his appointment to the federal bench. In 2011, 2013 and 2016, Arias-Marxuach served as an adjunct professor teaching various courses at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law.

Ana María García Blanco is a Puerto Rican educator who pioneered Montessori public education on the Island. She is currently Executive Director of Instituto Nueva Escuela, a nonprofit organization, devoted to the social and educational transformation of the public education system through the Montessori method.

Carlos Juan Delgado Hernández (born June 25, 1972) is a Puerto Rican former professional baseballplayer and coach. He played in Major League Baseball primarily as a first baseman, from 1993 to 2009, most prominently as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, where he was a member of the 1993 World Series-winning team, won the 2000 American League (AL) Hank Aaron Award, and was the 2003 AL RBI leader. He was also a two-time AL All-Star player and a three-time Silver Slugger Award winner during his tenure with the Blue Jays.

El Dr. Julio E. Fontanet Maldonado es abogado y Decano de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. Del 2004 al 2006 fue Presidente del Colegio de Abogados y Abogadas de Puerto Rico. Fue también el portavoz del movimiento “Unidos por una sola Cámara” (2005-2008). En el 2012 fue nombrado comisionado electoral del MUS (2012). En los últimos 15 años se ha desempeñado como consultor en procesos de reforma penal en Centro y Sur América desde 1999.

Néstor M. Méndez Gómez

Méndez concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, particularly class actions and international arbitration. His areas of expertise include antitrust, intellectual property, financial institutions, government regulation, securities and telecommunication. He is the only Puerto Rico lawyer to have received a top ranking in Dispute Resolution from Chambers Global for twelve years in a row and one of only two Puerto Rico lawyers with a top ranking for Dispute Resolution in the 2018 Chambers Latin America Guide, where he has been top ranked since its inception and described as the Gold Standard for litigation. Mr. Méndez was also named Best Litigation Lawyer in Puerto Rico by Best Lawyers of America, who also lists him as Best Lawyers in International Arbitration. He has also been appointed arbitrator in international disputes, including as panel chairman.
